Keep your favourite diffuser going. This 180 ml La Duchessa refill is a ready-mixed, alcohol-free fragrance oil made to top up the reed diffuser bottle you already own, so you can keep the vessel you love, switch scents with the seasons, and cut down on single-use bottles.

How to refill

1. Empty and clean. Pour out any old oil and wipe the bottle dry, especially when changing scents.
2. Pour. Fill your bottle about two-thirds full; a small funnel helps with narrow necks.
3. Fresh reeds. Insert 4 to 6 new reeds. Old reeds clog with dust and hold on to the previous scent. Fibre reeds or rattan reeds.
4. Flip. After about an hour, turn the reeds over. Flip them once a week for a fresh burst of scent.

Where it works best

Living rooms, bedrooms, entryways, bathrooms and wardrobes. For a stronger scent in a large room, use more reeds; for a small space, fewer. Keep away from direct sun and air-con vents, which make the oil evaporate faster.
