Andy's story
Every Aroma Sense bottle starts with the question our founder, Andy Lee, asked himself in 2021: why does almost nothing sold here last through a Singapore day?
Andy wasn't a trained perfumer. He simply loved a good scent and was tired of choosing between a fragrance he liked and one that survived his commute. In Singapore's heat and humidity, most light fragrances had faded by lunchtime, and diffusers ran dry within days.
So he started mixing. Evenings and weekends became a home lab: sourcing botanical ingredients, testing oil concentrations, filling notebooks with ratios, and asking friends and family to wear test blends through their own long days and report back.
The 30% breakthrough
The turning point came with a formula at 30% oil concentration, closer to a true parfum than the lighter scents most people wear, that still held up at the end of a full working day. That became the whole idea behind Aroma Sense: fragrance made for the tropics, not adapted from somewhere cooler.
From there, the house grew one careful step at a time. A handful of blends became more than 70 perfumes. Perfume led to home fragrance, then to pure essential oils, and later to hair and skin care, each held to the same test: does it hold up to how people really live here?
Where we are today
Aroma Sense is still run from Singapore, a few minutes from where Andy first started testing blends. We pack and ship every order from our own warehouse, and we are the official Singapore distributor for Cab's Professional and Biolife. The company is bigger now, but every new product still faces the test Andy first used on himself: put it on, live your day, and see if it's still there when you get home.
